The Importance of Proper Chilter Maintenance

A chiller is a device that cools products, machinery and factory equipment for industrial process cooling. It uses the same mechanisms as an air conditioning unit but in a more efficient way to avoid overusing energy resources. It also has a specific design that is appropriate for use in industrial processes, including an explosion-proof model for safety purposes.
The mechanism of chiller works by circulating refrigerant through an evaporator, compressor and condenser. It captures heat from the processes that need to be cooled and then transfers this heat into the refrigerant so it can return to its original state of low-pressure liquid. This enables it to cool the processes that need to be cooled, and the cooling capacity is calculated by the amount of heat that needs to be removed.
When a chiller is sized incorrectly, it can create problems for the process it is cooling. It might be too small for the cooling load, or it could be too large. Whether this happens from poor design or overuse, it can cause problems with temperature and pressure in the process and result in reduced production times and equipment failure.
Proper maintenance is the best way to prevent this kind of problem. Daily logs of temperatures, fluid levels and pressures should be kept so that the data can be used to identify when there is a potential problem. Other key maintenance steps include checking for the presence of scale and fouling on the tubes in the evaporator and condenser bundles, as well as logging the pressure drop from the chiller inlet to the outlet. This will help to detect any air leakage that might be causing higher than normal cooling loads. chiller
