Estepona & Sotogrande – A Golfer’s Paradise

From the beaches to the golf courses to the polo fields and everything in between Estepona & Sotogrande is one of our favourite golf destinations along the Costa del Sol. It is an old fishing village (still active) that now attracts holiday golfers with its wonderful climate, well kept sandy beaches, a pleasure port and excellent restaurant offering.

Unlike its neighbour Marbella that prides itself on its glitz and glamour, Sotogrande is content to remain beneath the radar. It is an enclave that offers a unique lifestyle for the wealthy and well-heeled who call it home – many of them with children enrolled in the international schools in Sotogrande.

The architecture of the gated community reflects this, with beautiful villas and apartments tucked into lush greenery on hilltops and set back from the sea. It is a place of privacy and luxury where residents and guests can enjoy the beach, shops, restaurants and chiringuitos (beach bars) with tranquility and unspoilt surroundings.

Sotogrande boasts one of the finest championship golf courses, Valderrama, as well as polo fields and tennis academies. It also has a superb marina and miles of protected marshland where migratory birds fly to and from Africa.

The town centre of Estepona is full of interesting shops and boutiques, while the nearby towns of San Roque and San Luis are well worth a visit for their charming whitewashed houses and pretty squares. The cosmopolitan coastal city of Malaga is a short drive east, while Gibraltar looms up to the west with its breath-taking gorges. Estepona & Sotogrande
